Hello!

A bit about me...

Brixby Larzelier is a Geography MA candidate whose thesis explores an interdisciplinary feminist approach to health geography through comics-making.  Stemming from her experiences living with fibromyalgia, Larzelier seeks to connect health narratives, geographical inquiry and comics-making to expand understating and connection through embodied forms of knowledge production. Primarily interested in using experimental and kinetic forms of comics-making, Larzelier aims to make comics reading an affective and empathetic experience.

MAKING COMICS RECONNECTS THE MIND (TEXT) AND BODY (DRAWING) WHICH ALLOWS ME ACCESS TO NEW UNDERSTANDINGS OF MY PERCEPTIONS ABOUT MYSELF AND THE WORLD.
